The research is exploring mountain landscape conflicts and identifying solutions within the UNESCO National Heritage area of Laponia, focussing on dependency and inter-connectedness with the adjacent forested landscape. Study of the reindeer husbandry system is used to understand inter-landscape challenges and the potential for collaborative and integrated strategies for transforming governance.
